  3. The Adaptec 4070 controller is a premium, new technology hard disk controller
  4. at an exceptional price!  Includes the following features:

  6.         o  Supports up to 16 heads and 2048 cylinders (268 Meg/drive).

  8.         o  Supports removable media drives.
  9.  
  10.         o  Supports wedge servo drives like: Syquest, Microscience, and Tulin.

  12.         o  Controls both 5 1/4" and 3 1/2" ST506/412 type hard disk drives.

  16. Note:  The 4070 is an RLL controller.  It works only with drives which can
  17. handle RLL format.  It is not recommended for older drives.  Many new drives
  18. have been RLL certified and are sold as such for a premium price.  The big
  19. advantage is that RLL gives 1.5 times more storage than MFM. (You cannot
  20. use an IBM PC controller with hard drives on an Atari computer.)
